Job Summary
Manage and control all elements of store inventory by receiving shipments from Ace and DSD vendors, validating .com orders within one hour, and processing credits, policy adjustments, and daily/weekly price changes. Oversee inter-store transfers, complete cycle counts, and ensure data accuracy for quantity and dollar values while minimizing outages through weekly shooting outs and backroom management. Monitor shrinkage, identify obsolete inventory, and train staff on best practices. Operate a fork truck as needed and maintain location codes.
Required Qualifications
- General understanding of inventory principles
- Experience with retail programs
- Understanding of the flow of merchandise
- Experience in a retail environment either in inventory, sales, or back office
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional organizational ability
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
- Able to operate a personal computer and other electronic devices
- Able to operate a fork truck as needed
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Able to bend and twist at the waist
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
