Inventory Management Specialist

Job Summary

Conduct requirements identification, item management, and execution for Air Force supply chain optimization. Evaluate program efficiency, validate repair requirements, and manage organic or contract arrangements. Procure items, maintain documentation, and optimize global asset distribution based on customer needs. Analyze data to determine optimal demand planning methods, resolve complex inventory problems, and prepare reports for management. Assist Government personnel while applying knowledge of logistics planning, programming, and budgeting systems. Utilize relevant data systems and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain active Secret clearance and CAC eligibility for on-site work at Robins AFB, GA.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) and installation access at Robins AFB
  • Exceptional understanding of Air Force weapon systems logistics
  • Supply plans and sourcing strategies to keep Air Force weapon systems operational
  • Tracking of structural parts, armament, instruments, and engines
  • Management of inventory so parts get to the flightline and repair depots faster
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in Air Force supply chain management performing tasks associated with the supply planner/inventory management functional area
  • Must be a local hire residing in the Warner Robins, GA area, or candidates willing to relocate
  • On-site work at Robins AFB, GA
  • Work five days per week (40 hours per week)
  • Duty hours include core hours of 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Eastern
  • Flexible start/end times available between 6:00–9:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM
  • Some travel may be required, subject to advance Government approval
  • Site visits to operational, production, and warehouse sites
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform related tasks
  • Ability to perform desk work for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer
  • Eligible for a thorough background check
