Job Summary
Monitor and track inventory levels using inventory management software to ensure accuracy and availability. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to verify stock quantities and identify discrepancies. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by coordinating with warehouse staff and other departments. Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and adjust stock levels accordingly. Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency. Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, trends, and variances for management review. Assist in training warehouse and inventory staff on proper inventory handling and control techniques. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain operations
- Proficiency with inventory management software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Ability to perform physical inventory counts
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in business, logistics, or related field
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related discipline
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
- Knowledge of lean inventory practices
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Certification in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
