Job Summary
Coordinate product and packaging material inventory use, perform inventory audits and cycle counts, and execute outbound shipment reconciliations. Interface directly with customers and vendors to resolve quality issues, adjust inventory, and coordinate packaging material changes. Collect customer samples, report equipment malfunctions immediately, and follow established dock safety policies and SOPs. Backfill on production lines as needed and ensure all customer requests are responded to within an hour. Requires 1-3 years of inventory control experience, intermediate computer skills, and knowledge of food safety or willingness to receive training.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years' experience in Inventory Control
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office
- accurate data entry skills
- WMS
- document scanning
- basic office skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills
- Ability to understand the production schedule
- Must have experience and be knowledgeable about Food Safety or willing to receive training in Food Safety
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holidays
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be able to work independently as well in a group settings
- Must be able to interface directly with customers on inventory adjustments
- Must be able to interface directly with customers
- Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous relationship
- Must be able to ensure customer requests are responded to within an hour
- Must be able to provide customer with an estimated time of completion including factual response
- Must be able to immediately escalate to management customer's complaint
- Must be able to follow established Dock Safety policy
- Must be able to complete the Motorized Equipment Daily Inspection sheet
- Must be able to report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately
- Must be able to wear PPEs as required
- Must be able to follow safety and security policies and SOPs
- Must be able to collect samples when requested by customers
- Must be able to work with Production Planner to coordinate packaging material changes
- Must be able to work with customers/vendors/Production Planner to resolve quality issues
- Must be able to follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and specific customer work instructions
- Must be able to maintain and monitor inventory levels and product movement for accuracy
- Must be able to do inventory audits and cycle counts as required
