Inventory Control Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervise and develop Inventory Control team members through coaching, training, and performance management while overseeing daily inventory activities to ensure accuracy across warehouse operations. Reconcile inventory balances between warehouse management systems, ERP systems, and financial records, then investigate discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Plan and coordinate physical inventories, cycle counts, and audits across locations while maintaining accurate, audit-ready documentation for all transactions. Analyze inventory trends and aging reports to identify operational risks, monitor KPIs, and develop performance metrics for management review. Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Warehouse teams to improve material flow and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or inventory management
  • at least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and inventory control processes
  • Experience supervising inventory teams within a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience managing cycle count programs, physical inventories, and inventory audits
  • Knowledge of internal controls, inventory compliance, and audit requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, and work in a production/warehouse environment and lift up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with ERP and warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar preferred)
  • Knowledge of internal controls, inventory compliance, and audit requirements preferred
