Job Summary
Conduct onsite asset tracking for servers, networking equipment, and materials within the data center region. Coordinate shipping and receiving of IT supplies, ensuring safe storage and distribution to other facilities. Perform ongoing audits of inventory records to verify accuracy and completeness, updating logs as necessary. Collaborate with Operations, IT, Procurement, and Finance teams to allocate resources efficiently and optimize utilization. Maintain detailed documentation of shipments and audits, providing regular reports to management. Utilize inventory management software to track assets and resolve discrepancies in records. Be willing to travel as needed to support audits at various locations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with asset management software
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- A curious nature to identify and solve problems
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment
- Comfortable working in a data center environment
- Ability to move and lift heavy objects
- Capable of flexing and pivoting as priorities shift
- A passion for technology and a willingness to learn about the latest advancements in cloud compute services
- Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future
- Must be able to travel as needed to support inventory management and audits at various data center locations
