Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct daily inventory counts and product inspections to ensure accuracy, quality, and food safety compliance. Monitor receiving activities, research inventory discrepancies, and provide daily guidance and training to associates on procedures, documentation, and HACCP requirements. Operate pallet jacks and forklifts while maintaining data entry accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to close, with rotating Saturdays from 4:00 am to close, and work holidays as needed. This role supports Sam Rust Seafood's distribution of fresh and frozen seafood to restaurants, supermarkets, and markets across Hampton Roads, Virginia, and surrounding regions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of inventory control experience
- 1–2 years of perishable inventory experience
- Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
