Job Summary
Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and IT assets within the data center region, including servers and networking equipment. Coordinate shipping and receiving of materials, ensuring safe storage and distribution across facilities. Conduct ongoing audits to verify inventory accuracy and update records as needed. Collaborate with Operations, IT, Procurement, and Finance teams to allocate resources efficiently and resolve discrepancies. Utilize inventory management software to maintain detailed records of shipments and audits, providing regular reports to management. This role requires 100% onsite presence at a data center in Newark, CA, with willingness to travel for audits. Candidates must have work authorization without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with asset management software
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- A curious nature to identify and solve problems
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment
- Comfortable working in a data center environment
- Ability to move and lift heavy objects
- Capable of flexing and pivoting as priorities shift
- A passion for technology and a willingness to learn about the latest advancements in cloud compute services
