Job Summary
Inventory Control Specialist I is responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering stock up to pre-authorized limits, establishing backup sources for high-demand items, analyzing reports to identify items for automatic/recurring delivery, providing inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager, maintaining vendor relationships, keeping accurate records of goods received and shipments, managing the inventory system and upgrades under supervision, and conducting frequent spot and annual physical audits; must operate forklift when necessary and communicate effectively with warehouse staff, purchasing, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with computerized inventory systems required
- Forklift operator certification preferred
