Job Summary
Inventory Control Specialist I will maintain the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements. Responsibilities include maintaining stock, ordering up to pre-authorized limits, establishing backup sources for high-demand items, analyzing inventory reports to identify items for automatic/recurring delivery, providing inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager, developing relationships with vendors, keeping accurate daily records of goods received and shipments, managing the inventory system and facilitating software upgrades under supervision, conducting frequent spot and partial audits, assisting with annual physical inventories, operating a forklift when necessary, and performing other related duties. Required skills include excellent communication with warehouse workers, purchasing, and vendors, understanding of inventory control procedures, proficient keyboarding, strong organizational skills with minimal supervision, ability to develop professional relationships with vendors, and basic math calculations. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; experience with computerized inventory systems; forklift operator certification preferred. The role is 2nd shift (Sunday to Wednesday 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM) in New Holland, PA, USA.
