Job Summary
Compile and maintain accurate records of inventory quantity, type, and value by performing daily physical counts and posting totals to property records. Compare system records against physical counts to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and make authorized adjustments. Inspect returning trailers, verify returned and damaged merchandise, and process eligible goods back into inventory. Monitor product quality, identify spoiled or poor-quality items, and remove unsellable product before customer purchase. Repack produce and merchandise efficiently to minimize spoilage and inventory loss.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in accounting, accounting administrative support, inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related area preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to identify and report discrepancies between physical inventory and records
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Ability to organize, maintain, and file records accurately
