Inventory Control Specialist - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and warehouse management systems to support operational efficiency and investigate discrepancies during daily, weekly, and periodic cycle counts. Coordinate raw material, packaging, and finished goods availability with production schedules to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Issue, stage, and replenish materials for production lines while verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and specifications. Track lot codes, expiration dates, and FIFO/FEFO requirements to maintain product traceability and recall readiness. Generate inventory reports, analyze trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction. Work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional weekends and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of inventory control experience in food manufacturing, CPG, distribution, or other regulated environments
- Experience using ERP and warehouse management systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, reconciliation, FIFO/FEFO, and lot control practices
- Understanding of food safety requirements, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, FDA regulations, and traceability processes
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse, production, and refrigerated environments
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
- Experience in temperature-controlled, refrigerated, or perishable goods environments preferred
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma exposure preferred
- Forklift certification preferred, where applicable
