Job Summary
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste. Oversee regular cycle counts and full physical inventories, ensuring accuracy and reconciling discrepancies. Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed purchasing recommendations. Manage the disposition of obsolete and slow-moving inventory, minimizing financial loss. Collaborate with production, warehousing, and procurement teams to ensure smooth material flow and availability. Implement and maintain inventory management software and systems, ensuring data integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience with ERP systems and advanced inventory management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize inventory control processes
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP)
- Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
- Project management experience, particularly with process improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
