Job Summary
Manage material flow and create master production schedules for the Coating Line to meet customer demand while minimizing inventory investment. Prevent factory and warehouse shortages by analyzing root causes of errors, driving parts shortages to fulfillment, and calculating safety stock for raw materials and finished goods. Oversee cycle count compliance, lead material handlers, and partner with Sales, Production, and New Product Development to resolve service issues and optimize lot sizes and lead times. Direct material transfers to shipping schedules and communicate forecast estimations to management to support risk mitigation and continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or other related degree
- 3-5 years of experience in inventory control
- Strong understanding of capacity and how to schedule and plan within a finite model
- Strong understanding of advanced planning systems and tools
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, planning methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Experienced with other software packages including Windows and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the planning process
- Good facilitation and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detail orientated and demonstrates high level of accuracy
- Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- APICS or other planning certification preferred
- Prefer experience with SAP
