Job Summary
Lead the Inventory Control team by providing senior leadership, direction, and strategy to enable execution of commercial and operational deliverables. Develop and progress key customer relationships and operational partnerships to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand and maintain service level agreements. Improve overall inventory accuracy, accountability, and reporting by establishing best practice processes. Minimize risk exposure by focusing on inventory control financial benefits and accurate accounting for client assets. Set strategic direction for supply chain and solution initiatives, develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues, and determine innovative data analysis methods. Monitor and report on customer inventory control accuracy, shrink, and contractual requirements to site leadership. Manage site hourly and exempt associates, conduct performance reviews, and ensure company policies are communicated and enforced.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years Inventory Control experience
- 3+ years logistics industry experience
- 3+ years management experience (unit pick environment, large company preferred)
- 1+ years client relationship, staff mgmt. & objective setting experience
- Staff management & Objective Setting
- Metric development and reporting across cross functional leadership
- Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience
