Job Summary
Provide senior leadership and strategy for the Inventory Control team to enable execution of commercial and operational deliverables. Develop key customer relationships and operational partnerships to drive continuous improvement and excellence. Ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet demand and maintain service level agreements. Improve overall inventory accuracy, accountability, and reporting by establishing best practice processes. Minimize risk exposure by focusing on inventory control financial benefits and accurate accounting. Develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues regarding client asset management. Set strategic direction for supply chain and solution initiatives revolving around inventory planning. Ensure adherence to Inventory Control KPIs outlined in the commercial agreement. Monitor and report customer inventory accuracy, shrink, and contractual requirements to site leadership. Maximize site inventory process and system performance to ensure care, custody, and control of customer inventory. Manage site hourly and exempt associates, conduct performance reviews, and enforce company policies. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years inventory control experience, 3+ years logistics industry experience, and 3+ years management experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent 4 years Inventory Control experience
- 3+ years logistics industry experience
- 3+ years management experience (unit pick environment, large company preferred)
- 1+ years client relationship, staff mgmt & objective setting experience
- Staff management & Objective Setting
- Metric development and reporting across cross functional leadership
- Knowledge of systems such as JDA, Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience
