Job Summary
Lead daily inventory control operations by monitoring department performance, optimizing processing times for received material, and recommending recovery methods when needed. Utilize existing procedures to drive efficiency, verify aging of materials in receiving and shipping locations, and ensure production lines receive correct parts. Maintain accurate record keeping of shipping and stockroom documents while assuring all tools and equipment are in proper working order. Provide frequent feedback to Inventory Control and Quality departments, identify team member performance issues, and adhere to safety, health, and security policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with inventory control procedures
- Ability to monitor department performance
- Capability to develop and implement revisions or new procedures
- Ability to drive shortest processing time for received material
- Skill to continually improve processing time performance
- Ability to recommend overtime or recovery methods
- Ability to assure tools, equipment, and visual aids are in proper working order
- Ability to provide frequent and accurate feedback to Inventory Control and Quality departments
- Skill to assist with problem solving associated with schedules, equipment, documentation, and personnel
- Ability to interface with departmental supervisors, support functions, engineering, program management, and plant operations
- Ability to ensure accuracy of record keeping for shipping, receiving, and stockroom
- Ability to verify aging of material in receiving and shipping locations
- Ability to ensure production line receives correct parts for manufacturing
- Ability to ensure all material is stocked promptly and accurately
- Ability to eliminate errors impacting quality, budget, and efficiency
- Skill to identify performance issues and strengths for team members
- Ability to adhere to safety and health rules and regulations
- Ability to comply and follow company security policy procedures
