Job Summary
Audit and reconcile inventory across the Lakeland Distribution Center, performing daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations. The role requires independent, self-directed work while coordinating with multiple departments, making recommendations, requesting information, and directing others during audits. Will interact with internal and external auditors and provide required assistance and information. Strong bar-coding and real-time inventory movement knowledge, along with MS Office proficiency, are essential. The candidate should have 5+ years of operational warehouse inventory control experience, a background in distribution across multiple locations, and effective verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will report to the Corporate Director of Inventory and contribute to continuous improvement of inventory processes within Rooms To Go.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma, college experience is a plus
- A 4-year degree in a Business-related field, preferably in Audit or Accounting may be substituted for experience
- A minimum of 5 years of operational warehouse inventory control experience
- Knowledge of distribution with multiple locations
- Knowledge and understanding of inventory audit and cycle functions, including complete audit area reconciliation
- Knowledge of bar-coding and real-time Inventory movement
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Initiative-taking, self-starting, with effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize or re-prioritize multiple projects
- Strong Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, with Microsoft Access being a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary
- This is a salaried position
