Job Summary
Inventory Control Specialist responsible for cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate inventory balances in a perpetual inventory system. Core duties include reviewing production orders for accurate material movements before TECO, monitoring on-hand inventory across SAP storage locations, initiating interplant material transfers, and tracking material disposition and returns. The role emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and coordination of material movements in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in inventory control/management or supply chain role within a manufacturing company or continuous improvement environment
- Forklift certified or able to obtain a forklift license
- Experience with lean principles and methodologies preferred
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, V-Lookups, and MS Office Products; SAP/ERP systems and ISO Quality Management System preferred
- Ability to read instructions for material requirements and specifications and understand part numbers for all material requirements
- Reading, writing, and mathematical competency
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Commitment to PPE in manufacturing environments
