Inventory Control Clerk

Job Summary
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy, while auditing incoming shipments and verifying proper receiving and stocking locations. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, process adjustments with documentation, and monitor integrity within the dealership management system. Assist with annual physical counts, review vendor returns, and coordinate transfers between locations. Ensure warehouse storage areas remain properly labeled, organized, and clean. This role supports continuous improvement initiatives within the Parts Department at Vanguard Truck Centers, a leading commercial truck dealership group.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely
- Ability to work in both warehouse and office environments
- Ability to work in varying temperatures common in warehouse settings
Desired Qualifications
- Previous inventory control, warehouse, or parts experience
- Heavy-duty truck, automotive, or industrial parts experience
- Experience working with dealership management systems (CDK, Procede, Karmak, etc.)
- Experience in a heavy-duty truck dealership or commercial vehicle environment
- Knowledge of Volvo, Mack, Hino, Isuzu, or other commercial truck parts
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Experience with cycle count programs and inventory audits
