Job Summary
Inventory Control Associate will work under the Store Manager and partner with procurement to set up and monitor product pricing, manage product placement/merchandising, receiving and product returns, and maintain accurate inventory integrity. Responsibilities include attending promotional meetings, verifying pricing, updating pricing weekly, downloading sales/TPR data, creating end caps, promoting products to accelerate sales of underperforming items, reconciling store bills with received products, overseeing receiving and merchandise returns, conducting inventory cycle counts, assisting with year-end physical inventory, acting as cashier backup, and communicating with Home Office about upcoming events and pricing changes. The role requires coverage for opening/closing, occasional travel between locations, and flexibility in hours. Physical activity is expected (standing, walking, bending, kneeling, etc.) with potential weights over 50 pounds. Some positions may require weekend availability and 30 hours per week to maintain full-time status.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 1-3 years in a retail environment
- Must be organized and thorough
- Must be able to problem solve and think for yourself
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail
- High degree of initiative and planning skills; self-starter
- Must have the ability to work independently or in a team environment
