Job Summary
Inventory Control Associate in a distribution center responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory, recording received/stocked merchandise, performing cycle counts and inventory adjustments, auditing inventory against orders, resolving discrepancies per internal controls, and determining optimal inventory placement. Operates material handling equipment to move inventory, assists with loading damaged merchandise, and maintains inventory control manuals. Typically under general supervision, involved in routine tasks with guidance from a supervisor. Work environment is indoor with minimal travel and a shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Requires HS diploma or GED (strongly preferred) and 2–5 years of related experience; warehouse and MRO knowledge advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Specialized skills training/certification may be required
- Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility
