Job Summary
Inventory and Store Specialist II role involves managing warehouse logistics and inventory for state facilities. Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, receiving, storing, pulling and delivering orders, conducting inventory counts, using electronic inventory systems and handheld devices, operating forklifts/pallet jacks, and ensuring warehouse safety and security. The position supports Continuity of Operations (COOP) activations and requires data entry into inventory and financial systems (MIMS, CAPPS). Travel up to 15% is possible; the site is Austin State Hospital with day shift expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED
- Work experience in using computer inventory control/receiving software or similar systems
- Work experience in warehouse/inventory control related field preferred
- Prior experience using forklift and other material handling equipment or similar experience preferred
- Valid Class C Driver's License (Texas Driver's License preferred) to be checked yearly for violations/suspensions
- Forklift Fundamentals - FRK0100, completion required within three months of employment
