Inventory and Procurement Manager

Job Summary
Develop and implement systems for tracking inventory, assets, and materials while overseeing the full procurement process, including strategic sourcing, vendor relationship management, and pricing negotiations. Manage a team of direct and indirect reports across North America, establish performance metrics to optimize total cost of ownership, and analyze procedures to improve supply chain efficiency and profitability. Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance stakeholders to maintain resources, consolidate shipments, and qualify new suppliers. Travel throughout North America to support operations at various locations. Based in Houston, this leadership role contributes to Certarus's mission of delivering low-carbon energy solutions through a global fleet of specialty trailers.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or training in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or combination of education and related work experience
- Minimum five years of related work experience
- Previous management, or supervision experience, with proven leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of company products and coordination
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Must be able to travel throughout North America to operation locations
Desired Qualifications
- Supply Chain Management designations such as SCPM PMAC, APICS, or equivalent, or working towards
