Job Summary
Develop and implement strategies to streamline inventory management processes and procedures. Oversee kitting operations and ensure accuracy of inventory transactions while collaborating with Quality Control and Procurement to maintain timely material availability. Lead and mentor the inventory team, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to ensure adherence to best practices and government regulations including ITAR and EAR. Utilize inventory management software to enhance traceability and efficiency. Requires 5-10 years of experience, ERP knowledge, and Lean/Six Sigma skills. Located in Huntsville, AL.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in inventory management
- Strong knowledge working within corporate ERP/MRP systems
- Strong knowledge of export control regulations, including ITAR and EAR as they relate to inventory and material handling
- Experience with kitting in a manufacturing environment
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Quality, Procurement, Production, Engineering)
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification)
Desired Qualifications

- Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- APICS/ASCM CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) certification
- Prior experience working within AS9100, ISO 9001, or other aerospace/defense quality management systems
