Inventory and Cost Accounting Manager

Job Summary
Oversee inventory accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, including monthly reconciliations in NetSuite and Manufacturo, month-end closes, and quarterly lower-of-cost-or-net-realizable-value assessments. Develop standard cost structures, analyze standard versus actual variances, and coordinate physical inventory counts with engineering and supply chain teams to resolve discrepancies. Prepare cost documentation for external audits and optimize inventory procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree, five years of manufacturing cost accounting experience, and proficiency in NetSuite. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for ITAR compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in NetSuite Inventory Management or similar ERP
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 330, and standard costing methodologies
- Experience with inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and physical inventory procedures
- Strong understanding of standard cost vs. actual cost analysis, variance reporting, and cost control
- Experience with routing, BOM validation, and cross-collaboration with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Exposure to early-stage, vertically integrated manufacturing environments
- Interest in or passion for national security, aerospace, and building hardware that matters
- Proficiency in NetSuite Inventory Management, Manufacturo MES, or comparable systems
