Job Summary
Mine data and utilize analytics to develop pricing and inventory strategies across several brands to beat the market by stocking better inventory than the competition at the right price. Proactively prepare for inventory allocation using data analysis to determine orders, optimizing the store's inventory mix while aligning with market demand. Place new car inventory orders in conjunction with the general manager and maintain the inventory pipeline, including incoming deliveries and vehicles on the ground. Use analytical skills to determine the sweet-spot for pricing new vehicles, reviewing daily and weekly to sell units quickly while achieving gross profit goals. Support the general manager with weekly reporting on sales, turn rate, days supply, and gross profit objectives. After 90 days, demonstrate mastery of the manufacturer's ordering process and portal.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, macros and model building
- Ability to work independently with limited direction and be a self-starter
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and effectively influence using data
- Coachable with a willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a belief that the answer lies in data
Desired Qualifications
- 1-year related experience in a new car dealership sales environment is preferred
- Experience using AI tools, including large language models (LLMs) and leveraging AI agents to improve reporting, forecasting, pricing, inventory decisions, and workflow efficiency is preferred
