Job Summary

Inventory Analyst responsible for maintaining work order closures for in-process production orders, monitoring SAP reporting to adjust inventory, aiding disposition of scrap from WIP, managing excess/obsolete reporting, balancing stock between SAP and LMS, resolving SAP IDOC/COGI errors, and performing end-of-month inventory cleanup. Requires strong SAP/ERP experience, data analysis, and collaboration with planning, production, logistics, and management teams. Preferred APICS CPIM/CSCP certification and a related four-year degree; equivalent training/experience acceptable.

Required Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 4-year degree in a related field is preferred
  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
  • Equivalent training & experience can be substituted
  • 5 years’ experience of inventory planning in a medium sized industrial manufacturing company is preferred
  • Hands-on SAP ERP systems with SAP/APO experience preferred
  • Data management & analytical analysis experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Planning techniques, BOM structures & shop floor control
  • Inventory flow & concepts in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Control systems, shop planning procedures & physical plant layout & constraints
  • SAP M/M & P/P ERP modules
  • Effective oral & written communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
  • Analyzing/reporting data to identify issues, trends or exceptions used to improve results
  • Managing data using appropriate analysis & validation techniques
  • Ability to deal with constantly changing deadlines & project parameters in a fast-paced, continuous process manufacturing operation
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Taking a systematic approach to solving problems by analyzing all relevant facts/issues before determining the root cause
  • Detail-oriented & well-organized
  • Proficient in MS office applications
  • Ability to access, retrieve, & analyze data using MS Excel, Access or business objects as provided
  • Inspecting/evaluating the quality of work produced
  • Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy & attention to detail
