Job Summary
Conduct cardiac catheterization procedures, scrub, circulate, and monitor patients in diagnostic, interventional, and CRM settings while applying closure devices or managing hemostasis. Prepare procedure rooms, document hemodynamic recordings and calculations, and perform point-of-care testing and quality assurance. Administer medications under physician direction, operate imaging equipment, and provide patient education and emotional support. Complete procedure data entry, process imaging studies, and prepare reports for the Cath Lab team. Work full-time 36-hour shifts with variable on-call rotation at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- PALS certification for children's hospitals or ACLS certification for adults
- Bachelor's degree in health science with six months of health care experience
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or Nursing program
- Graduate of a diploma or associate program in health science with one year of health care experience
- Graduate of a non-programmatically accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology which has a minimum of one year of specialty training and includes a minimum of 800 clinical hours
- Intermediate computer skills
- Current license, where applicable
- Surgical Tech/Assistant Certification per state requirements
- Fluoroscopy Operator Certification as required in the state of Colorado
- RCIS or RCES certification to pass medications
- 2 years of CV Invasive Training experience
