Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, administering contrast under physician direction while maintaining aseptic technique and performing time-outs. Demonstrate competency in the first assist position, proper patient positioning, and radiographic techniques for all procedures. Ensure accurate PACS coding, charge entry, and documentation of patient radiation exposure and history. Maintain point-of-care testing standards and daily quality control for devices. Provide on-call coverage for emergency procedures, arriving within 30 minutes, with typical call rotation of 7-10 days monthly. Work full-time Monday through Friday in an advanced Cath Lab environment.
Required Qualifications
- On-call responsibilities for emergency procedures
- Employees must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes while on call
- Call coverage is typically 7-10 days per month
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS)
- ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
- CPR certification
- ARRT Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology OR ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Echocardiograph and Ultrasound
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Act 34
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Successful completion of ACLS certification within orientation period
- New graduates have 1 year to obtain their board certification
