Job Summary
Coordinate patient appointments for non-invasive cardiac tests (Echo, EKG, Stress Tests, Holter monitors); manage provider schedules in the system; confirm appointments, provide pre-test instructions, and manage patient waitlists; verify referrals and obtain insurance pre-authorizations; liaise between patients, nurses, and cardiologists; coordinate appointments for new and returning patients and respond to inquiries with professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year scheduling experience in ambulatory surgery facility, acute-care hospital, or doctors office
- Prior scheduling experience in a fast-paced hospital or clinic-based cardiology setting preferred
- Athena experience preferred but not required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
