Introduction to Construction Careers Instructor

Instruct adult incarcerated students in the technical and soft skills needed to gain entry-level employment in construction. Plan and direct learning activities, follow district curriculum, and supervise classroom and lab instruction in basic safety, construction math, hand and power tools, and related construction trades. Maintain attendance and student progress records; prepare and administer placement and other assessments; create a positive, organized learning environment; ensure compliance with Windham School District policies, TEA requirements, and applicable laws. Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, with ability to convey ideas clearly, interpret policies, and collaborate with staff to meet instructional goals.
