Job Summary
Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to hand select orders within dry, refrigerated, and freezer environments. Stack product on pallets per operating procedures, stage loads at outbound docks, and shrink-wrap items for transit. Maintain selection rates across temperature zones, perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment, and conduct proper lifting techniques. Immediately advise supervisors of unsafe conditions or accidents and assist in general housekeeping. Cross-train in other warehouse functions as assigned. Work Monday through Friday from 11am until completion, with potential weekend and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform work within various warehouse temperature environments: Dry (ambient temps), Cooler (34 degrees), and Freezer (-10 degrees)
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
- Ability to operate shrink-wrap machine and manually shrink-warp product
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (fork lift, pallet jack, high lift)
- Ability to work flexible days and hours. Schedule may include weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
- Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environment
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs
