Job Summary
Interventionist Teacher responsible for delivering district-approved, research-based reading and math interventions to small groups across grade levels 3–8 (and 9–12 depending on campus). Role involves using universal screening, Direct Instruction interventions, progress monitoring, and escalating instructional intensity to close gaps; collaborates with general education teachers, implements IDEA curricula and assessments, develops and submits weekly lesson plans, tracks student progress, communicates progress to families weekly, and supports after-school tutoring and district initiatives. Grants-funded position under Title I Part A with compensation starting at $57,500, plus stipends and potential relocation assistance; benefits include comprehensive medical, family, tuition reimbursement options, and 403(b) plan. Requires Bachelor’s Degree and teaching certification; state certification preferred but not required; 40+ hour workweeks and engagement in district-wide activities and professional development. This role exists within IDEA Public Schools and is grant-funded with potential extension.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required)
- State certification preferred but not required
- High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
- Experience in a K-12 classroom setting (strongly preferred)
