Job Summary

Teach Critical Student Intervention (CSI) small groups for students at risk in reading and math, implementing state learning standards and IDEA curricula to close achievement gaps. Coordinate with general education teachers, submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance, and implement assessments to track individual progress. Communicate student updates to families weekly, manage classroom behavior, and host after-school tutoring or Saturday school sessions as assigned. Maintain a cooperative relationship with students and families while participating in weekly manager check-ins and school-wide meetings. Dedicate minimum 40+ hours per week at school.

Required Qualifications

  • High level of content-area proficiency in Math and/or ELA as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
  • Holding or willing to pursue a Florida educator certification
  • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
  • Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
  • Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week
  • Must remain Drug-Free both on and off the job, and free from alcohol on the job
  • Successful completion of a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
