Job Summary
Monitor student progress, identify specific academic issues, and provide feedback to teachers and students based on observation. Implement systematic instructional and behavioral interventions complying with the district's three-tier system while ensuring fidelity. Assist teacher support groups in analyzing student work and coordinate the implementation of appropriate strategies. Participate in universal screening for reading and mathematics, conduct staff development on baseline screening, and accurately record intervention data. Educate parents and community members on intervention practices and report regularly to the assigned work location.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three years experience as a classroom teacher
- appropriate certification from the State of Mississippi
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all staff members to plan and implement appropriate instructional interventions
- Knowledge of the state-adopted academic content standards and frameworks
- Knowledge of analyzing data as the basis for instructional decisions
- Ability to use technology effectively
- Strong organizational skills in scheduling interventions, tracking individual student progress, teacher and parent meetings, and data application
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Sufficient physical ability to perform moderate lifting up to 25 pounds
