Job Summary
Create an educational environment conducive to learning and prepare instructional materials for assigned classes. Assess student accomplishments on an established timetable, administer tests, and provide written and oral progress reports to parents, administrators, and staff. Plan interventions and lessons to meet individual student needs based on educational, physical, and emotional development levels. Confers with parents, specialists, and resource staff to develop educational programs. Motivates students, reinforces learning skills, and provides continuous assessment and feedback for all activities. Maintain accurate records as required by law and district regulations. Use screening and progress monitoring data to determine interventions and evaluate response to instruction for groups and individuals. Participate in data meetings to determine learner-centered problems and use root cause analysis to address academic gaps.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- endorsement in the grade/subject taught
- valid Tennessee certificate
- highly qualified
- physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position
- Proof of education, training, and/or experience
