Job Summary
Interventionist provides direct instruction to students identified for academic services in individual and/or small group settings, supplementing the Content Teacher to help students master the curriculum and meet school standards. Responsibilities include instructing in small groups using materials provided by academic coaches, guiding learning through identified needs, establishing clear objectives for lessons and assessments, following school policies, maintaining a conducive classroom environment, preparing and providing progress reports, assisting administration with policies and rules, counseling with colleagues/students/parents, participating in staff meetings and committees, and producing instructional data reports as required. The role requires an Associate’s degree or two years of college credits (education-focused preferred) and the ability to lift 20 lbs., with in-person duties in Whiteville, NC.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree or proof of completion of at least two years of college credits in any field is required; focus in education and early childhood development desired
- Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment
- Ability to perform clerical duties
- Ability to operate common office machines
- Ability to maintain basic files and records
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitates by work assignments
- Physical ability to lift/carry 20 lbs. and dexterity to perform the duties & responsibilities of the job
