Job Summary
Initiate constructive activities addressing goals on a child's treatment plan, such as social skills or emotion regulation, while developing and implementing therapeutic interventions to ensure safe interactions. Provide community-based services outside the classroom to educate caregivers and children, tailoring daily sessions to individual preferences with a sense of autonomy. Participate in a 24-hour pager rotation for additional stipend. Work independently or in groups to remediate trauma effects and promote healthy development. Requires experience in human services with children with special needs, a valid driver's license, and ability to work afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Full-time position within Chittenden County starting at $20.93 an hour.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a human service or care-taking field, with emphasis on children with special needs
- Valid driver's License and use of a personal vehicle
