Job Summary
Interventionist (CEIS) position for 12 months within a school setting; provides general education tier III academic and/or behavioral interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team to reduce disproportionality in special education referrals. Responsibilities include delivering evidence-based interventions, supporting MTSS planning and data review, developing and monitoring FBA/SSP, collaborating with staff and parents, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal/state/local regulations. Requires a Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field and a Virginia postgraduate professional license with endorsments in General Education, Special Education, School Counseling, School Social Work, or School Psychology; BCBA/Administration endorsements preferred. Exempt status and background/fingerprint clearances required; compensation steps aligned to ACPS salary scale.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from an Accredited College or University in the Special Education, or a Related Field Required
- A Valid Virginia Department of Education Postgraduate Professional license with an endorsement in General Education; Special Education; School Counseling; School Social Work or School Psychology
- Endorsement in Administration and Supervision and/or BCBA Certification are just preferred
- At least 8 years of experience as a Teacher, Counselor, Social Worker, Psychologist, Administrator or Coordinator
