Job Summary

Provide in-class, one-on-one, or small group support to scholars across assigned classes, reinforcing teacher instruction through re-teaching, guided practice, and check-ins. Assist teachers with implementation of strong practices for students requiring additional supports such as chunking tasks, preferential seating, and visual aids. Explicitly teach test-taking strategies for Regents, SAT/ACT, and AP exams, including pacing, process of elimination, and managing test anxiety. Deliver targeted content review and practice sessions aligned to identified skill gaps using diagnostic data, while facilitating small group or one-on-one test prep. Attend weekly check-ins to review schedules and coordinate with teachers and deans as needed to support scholar success.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • NY State Teaching Certification
  • Prior experience working with middle and high school-aged students in an academic background
  • Ability to work calmly and consistently with scholars who need behavioral and academic support

Desired Qualifications
