Job Summary
Interventional Technologist in Cardiac Cath Lab performing imaging for interventional procedures. Administers contrast media under proceduralist supervision, optimizes patient positioning and radiographic techniques, prepares patients, operates equipment, and monitors systems with full procedural understanding. Documents patient history in the electronic medical record, maintains aseptic technique, and ensures safety through time-out procedures. Communicates procedure details to patients, supports general radiographic procedures as needed, and handles exam coding, image archiving, and charge entry in RIS and ISITE. Schedule includes Monday–Friday with rotating 8-hour shifts (6:00–2:30, 6:30–3:00, or 7:00–3:30) and on-call with a 30-minute response time; may require other days/shifts based on hospital needs. Requires ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program or accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program, BLS/CPR, ACLS within 12 months, ARRT certification or equivalent, and various child abuse reporting and FBI clearances. Located in Washington, PA, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
- ARRT Certificate OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required within 30 days of hire/transfer
- ACLS required within 12 months of hire/transfer
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
