Job Summary
Conduct invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures while operating and performing quality assurance on imaging equipment. Monitor patients and maintain sterile technique during vascular and non-vascular cases, including aortography, embolization, stent placement, and catheter exchange. Ensure imaging quality and patient safety through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Shift hours are 08:00 to 16:30 on a 5x8 schedule Monday through Friday, with weekend call-only requirements. This role is based in Overland Park, KS, within a hospital setting supporting a broad range of IR procedures.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R) certification
- Kansas Radiologic Technologist License (LRT)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Experience with interventional procedures and equipment including PACS, aortography, embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, paracentesis, liver biopsy, renal angiography, stent placement, central venous access/port placement, gastrostomy tube procedures, nephrostomy, ureteral stent placement, uterine arterial embolization, vertebroplasty, and catheter/drain exchange
- Experience in special procedures and sterile technique in a hospital Interventional Radiology environment
- Weekend requirement: call only
- May be required to float to other facilities as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of the liver
- Prior hospital-based IR tech experience and familiarity with stock/supply management
