Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Under general supervision, conduct patient assessments, correlate clinical findings with exam requests, and document all data within the EHR. Educate patients for exams, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam or procedure. Select technical factors and parameters to produce quality images while properly identifying anatomy and evaluating images for technical quality. Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure and adhere to MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Requires post-primary certification in Interventional Radiology, current Massachusetts licensure, and BLS certification. Offers a $12,000 new hire sign-on bonus, 32-hour day shift with weekend rotation, and competitive pay ranging from $42.84 to $64.28 per hour at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Attainment of post-primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Interventional Radiology RT(VI)/(CI)/or (CV)
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Must be available for weekend, holiday and on call rotation
Desired Qualifications
- Post-primary certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography
- ACLS certification
