Job Summary
Perform routine and specialized vascular, non-vascular, and/or neuro interventional procedures under general supervision while administering contrast media and utilizing sterile technique. Operate CT scanners for interventional and diagnostic scans, verify physician orders, and communicate effectively with patients to obtain histories and explain procedures. Prioritize patient flow, coordinate care with the healthcare team, and document activities in electronic health records while distributing images to the PACS system. Maintain a clean work environment, ensure equipment quality control, and participate in departmental performance improvement and training initiatives. This role is available at Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, and Franklin Square Medical Center, with schedules ranging from 4-9 shifts to Monday through Friday rotations. Full-time positions offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus, while PRN opportunities exist at additional locations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Certificate in Radiologic Technology (awarded before January 1, 2015) from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an interventional radiology environment, such as cardiac catheterization, vascular interventional, or neurointerventional services
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
- Advanced certification in Cardiovascular Interventional (CV), Cardiac Interventional (CI), or Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiography for individuals hired on or after July 1, 2017
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the applicable state (Maryland or Virginia) upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification at designated sites
Desired Qualifications
- ARRT Radiography Certification [ARRT(R)] and Computed Tomography Certification [ARRT(CT)]
- Computed Tomography Certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
