Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality under supervision. Conduct patient assessments, correlate clinical findings with exam requests, and document data within the EHR. Educate patients, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals while selecting technical factors to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy, evaluate images for technical quality, and apply ALARA and MR safety principles. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Requires current Massachusetts RT licensure, BLS certification, and minimum one year of IR experience. Includes day shifts with weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of IR experience
- Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Post-primary certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography
- ACLS certification
