Job Summary
Schedules procedures, prepares and positions patients, and adjusts equipment for interventional radiology procedures using sterile techniques. Monitors hemodynamics, produces diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation, and coordinates with nursing staff and other technicians throughout exams. Maintains and evaluates products, assists with record collection for department and accreditation compliance, and demonstrates high-level patient care for critically ill patients. Understands human vasculature to anticipate physician needs while maintaining a sterile environment. Works primarily during days with night, weekend, and holiday on-call involvement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Transcript showing Radiology Technology from two- college or technical school, or hospital based Radiologic Technology program
- Cardiac Interventional Radiography (RI) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days
- Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 60 Days
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 60 Days
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to communicate effectively with others
