Job Summary
Review and evaluate requisitions for interventional radiology procedures, confirming specific details with physicians and verifying necessary equipment, software, and supplies. Select appropriate technical factors to optimize image quality while minimizing patient radiation exposure, and prepare procedure trays and therapeutic equipment per protocol. Assist with patient positioning, sterile preparation, and draping, then circulate the room to retrieve surgical items or serve as a second scrub if required. Respond to unique clinical conditions by creating a supportive environment for patients and families, collaborating on procedure plans based on physical and emotional status. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, participate in departmental meetings, and complete all required competencies and documentation accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree, Allied Health
- 1 year of working as a Radiologic Technologist
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS Certification
