Job Summary
Reviews and evaluates requisitions for interventional radiology procedures, confirming specific information with physicians and optimizing equipment settings to reduce radiation exposure. Prepares procedure trays and therapeutic supplies, positions patients, and performs sterile draping while adhering to aseptic techniques. Circulates the room to retrieve surgical items and serves as a second scrub when required. Responds to patient clinical conditions by creating a supportive environment and collaborating with the IR team on procedure plans. Identifies equipment malfunctions and participates in departmental meetings and simulation scenarios. Completes all required competencies and documentation accurately to maintain data integrity and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree, Allied Health
- 1 year of working as a Radiologic Technologist
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS Certification
