Job Summary
Conduct invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures including ablation, stents, thrombectomy, and embolization while maintaining up-to-date licensure and ARRT certification. Provide procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech, ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and radiation safety. Perform advanced tasks such as suturing sheaths, applying hemostasis, and transporting patients, while maintaining accurate records and coordinating care with other providers. Orient new staff, provide teaching, coaching, and direct supervision as a preceptor, and proctor specialized equipment and techniques. Recognize emergent patient situations, adhere to infection control protocols, and address patient concerns. Full-time role with 40-hour weeks, $34.06 entry rate plus experience-based adjustments, and up to $15,000 sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years Angio/Interventional experience or Vascular/Interventional radiography certification. Required
- ARRT - American Registry Upon Hire Required
- BLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- ACLS - within 120 Days Required for non-pediatric hospitals.
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced within 120 Days Required for only pediatric hospitals.
- Relevant state licensure and/or certifications Upon Hire Required
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other caregivers and patients.
- Knowledge and adherence to infection control and sterile techniques.
- Demonstrated skills and expertise in complex diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Recognize emergent patient situations and respond appropriately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.).
- May be expected to stand in a stationary position for a long time.
Desired Qualifications
- Willing to train if ARRT (R) certification is complete!
- Vascular/Interventional Radiography (VIR) certification Preferred
